Resident campaign to reduce the CDC Local Plan imposed target of 400 new houses, to stop inappropriate housing development and improve our future way of living in our three harbour villages. See which developers have submitted housing planning proposals to CDC, with research, links and guidance to add your own feedback comments.

Protecting, preserving and enhancing our harbour villages

Protect

For ten years the UK Government’s agenda has been to keep the housing industry building, rather than listen to local housing needs. If you’re fed up of politicians and housing developers telling us what we have to accept, without proper local consultation, make your voice heard!

Preserve

As three rural villages with 1,000 homes we have a duty to protect the way of life that all residents who live in our community have come to expect, now and in the future. Help us to influence all those who have power over our future, and to tell them what we want and demand of them.

Enhance

Time never stands still. There’s no doubt that the views and opinions of nearly 3,000 residents will help to shape the future of Chidham, Hambrook and Nutbourne East, and ensure that each village and our whole community can maintain a fun, vibrant and positive way of life.

Love Chidham, Hambrook and Nutbourne East and the benefits of living within sight of the South Downs as much as most residents do? Get in touch! Help us influence those in power to maintain our village way of life in a sustainable way, without overloading our Parish with a target of 400 new houses.
